Richard Přikryl (Czech painter graphic artist and pedagogue) was born in 1906 in Dolní Bobrové near the Nove Město na Moravě, and died in 1978 in Třešt near Jihlava. He studied fine arts in the class of František Kysela in Prague. He lived and worked in the town of Domažlice as a graphic artist (especially in the sphere of ex libris), painter ad pedagogue. The local picture gallery owns the largest number of his paintings. He exhibited his frequent landscape motives from Moravská Vysočina mountains together with the Society of Fine Arts in Plzen. He also created a series of symbolistic compositions titled Musica for the concert venue in Domažlice of the J. Jindřich, the composer.
